The Hong Kong Internship Program provides exciting weekend events in order for you to make the most out of your time living in China. Although you will be working during the day, these events aim to give you full advantage of what the city has to offer. Event though your internship is the most important, it’s essential that you take advantage of living abroad. The events below are just a few examples of previous activities:

Guided Tour of the City Let’s get to know your new city – Hong Kong, by passing by the amazing landmarks that this city has to offer! Hong Kong is definitely one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world so make sure to bring your camera, as we’ll introduce you this former British colony. This is truly a great opportunity to check out the fantastic must-sees and spend some with the other Absolute students!
Macau Las Vegas of the East, but also called Macau is a former Portuguese colony 60 km west of Hong Kong. There are plenty of casinos and entertainment and we’ll take the ferry to this amazing island to explore what it has to offer for one night!
Hong Kong Culture This is a weekend to for you to learn more about the culture in Hong Kong. We’ll try delicious traditional dim sum, hot pots and tea tasting! A full-day with fun activities for you to get acquainted with the culture in your new host city.
Lantau Island Tour A day trip to the largest outlying island, a day you don’t want to miss out on as we will visit the “Buddhist Kingdom in the South.” See the world’s tallest seated outdoor bronze Buddha, enjoy a classic Cantonese lunch and visit traditional temples. To conclude the day we will take a 360 degree cable car ride from Ngong Ping back to Hong Kong!
Unsponsored Events We want to help you build friendships and get acquainted with your new city. To help you, our Absolute staff will be planning unsponsored events for the entire group every week. These events are voluntary, but we recommend that you attend these as they will make sure that you will get to know your new city as well the host country. |
